This course introduces the infrastructural, regulatory, and commercial challenges and approaches of shaping an autonomous future with a special emphasis on sustainable AV deployment in urban mobility ecosystems.

By the end of the course, you will be able to…
  • Explain the possibilities that vehicle automation provides in urban contexts and how they can be applied.
  • Understand regulatory and infrastructural requirements of AV deployment.
  • Evaluate the role of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) in urban sustainability, considering environmental, social, and economic impacts.
  • Engage in informed discussions about the promises and scepticism of autonomous mobility.

Some inconsistencies and confusing descriptions.

Some inconsistencies or confusing description for CAV, SDV and Av's , could benefit from using expert developed terms (e.g BSI Flex 1890) , some elements had general comments that jumped across concepts , requiring me to read it several times to understand the flow.

Outdated information on a domain sseeing high speed evolution

Good foundation, but way too conservative views. If you operate by the scenarios presented in this course, you are in for some big surprises the next few years.
