To be sustainable and deal with current climate change, our future cities must become greener. For urban mobility that means clean energy must replace fossil fuels. This course introduces the challenges faced by cities during that energy transition, and their possible solutions.  

By the end of the course, you will be able to… 

  • Explain the current and future possibilities that electrification provides and how they can be applied. 
  • Identify the characteristics of cities that successfully implemented electrification and the methods they used. 
  • Summarise the actions necessary to successfully implement electric-based solutions in your city.

Jens Müller is a freelance expert on sustainable mobility. He is passionate about clever solutions that combine a better quality of life with climate protection. He holds a master’s degree in European economic studies from ULB and previously worked for almost eight years as transport policy advisor to a Member of the European Parliament. He specialises in urban mobility, clean air policies, and advises public authorities and companies on mobility management, regulations and innovative business models.
