Building an effective and attractive mass transit system is an essential solution for the challenges of densely populated metropolitan areas. Mass transit options, such as metro, trams, or light rail transit, must be fast, frequent, accessible, comfortable, and convenient to the users. Founded in 2016, the Mass Transit Academy is the SNCF Group’s centre of excellence aiming at accelerating the improvements of mass transit performance. In this video, UMX travelled to Saint-Denis, in the northern suburbs of Paris (France), to discover the Mass Transit Academy’s training centre and to understand how the Mass Transit Academy is working on improving the performance of mass transit.
