In this course, we explore how micromobility fits into the overall urban mobility landscape, what the opportunities and challenges are and how policies and operations could work together. The final module will look at the emerging trends that will influence the future of micromobility.

Sandra Phillips
Sandra’s work focuses on building healthier communities through shared mobility reducing dependency on private car ownership while increasing alternative options for everyone. Her specialty is systemic change: introducing micromobility requires a shift in mindset from linear, siloed thinking to embracing complexity and interconnectedness.She is teaching at University St. Gallen, UBC and SFU on the topic and has worked with public transit authorities, micromobility providers and cities across the world. Her work in shared mobility has garnered her a TED talk, a Clean50 and the 2021 Change Maker Award.
